CCR/Fogerty favorite song – that’s a tough one – “Lookin’ Out My Back Door.”

This is hard, there are so many favorites.

    “Centerfield”

  3. Ken on November 24th, 2009

Bad Moon Rising (used to brilliant effect in An American Werewolf In London)

PS: I like Thea Gilmore’s cover too

Ohhh CCR is soooo great band! And to choose just one song it is almost imposible…
I will go with “Wrote a song for everyone” but I can not tell that this is my favorite because there are many more great songs by John Fogerty. Unfortunately Claudia is very cruel today to let us pick just ONE song.

I Put a Spell on You performed by Creedence, written by Screamin’ Joe Hawkins.

I’m actually going to the show tomorrow night at NJPAC. Could you please play my favorite CCR song Born On The Bayou which not only has John’s great vocal but also has an amazing drumming performance by Doug “Cosmo” Clifford.

Be Thankful (for What You’ve Got)..”diamond in the back, sunroof top,
digging the scene with the gangster lean..”……..Paul Simon’s “An
American Tune” (..”they sailed on a ship they called the Mayflower”..)

To my ears, almost all the music I loved as a kid seems incredibly dated today (even the Beatles). The music of Creedence Clearwater Revival is a glaring exception, still fresh after all this time. There is no one best CCR song–it depends on what mood I’m in. If I’m in a good mood, or want to be, there’s nothing to beat “Lookin’ Out My Back Door” from Cosmo’s Factory.
    Have a great, chooglin’ day!

Dedicated to all of those traveling for the Thanksgiving Holiday, all of our troops overseas, and all misplaced, forgotton souls:

Put a candle in the window……….. Long as I Can See the Light

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!!

The song I can’t live without is is his cover of Rockin’ Sidney’s “My Toot-Toot”. It’s the VINYL B-Side of “Change In The Weather”.

Ah, you are ‘Fair’ (but, ‘Cruel’).

SO MANY John Fogerty/CCR songs to chose from –

I’d have to say, “RAMBLE TAMBLE” (from CCR’s – COSMO’S FACTORY)

  18. Fred on November 24th, 2009

My favorite is “Stuck in Lodi”

First saw John Fogerty with Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Atlantic City Pop Festival in August, 1969. HJohn signed my dinner card after doing Born On The Bayou at the RRHOF at the Waldorf years ago. I had about 50 dinner cards in my hand, and he said “All THOSE?” I said, “no, no, just ONE.” And he gladly signed it. I caught his first Hammerstein concert in Manhattan, and he was recently here in Denver. There are a lot of faves, many of which have already been mentioned above.

Run Through The Jungle – Creedence Clearwater Revival

By the way, John has a great Twitter site which he links to his own photos taken at concert stops.

Born on the Bayou live at the concert for Katrina (MSG) was one of my all time favorite concert experiences. Though I’ve always enjoyed Fogerty and CCR, I never really went out of my way to listen to them, but the energy fogerty brought to the show, and the emotions were just unbelievable.
