Who’s brilliant idea was it to play Alice’s Restaurant at 11:40 am on Thanksgiving?!!! Be prepared for a lot of angry listeners and members who tune in at noon to hear it and can’t believe that WFUV isn’t playing Alice’s Restaurant on Thanksgiving. I know at our house we watch the Macy’s Parade which ends at noon and then turn off the TV and turn on the radio for Alice’s Restaurant. It’s a Thanksgiving tradition for us and I bet it’s the same tradition for many others. What were you thinking?!!! What!! Is there a prize for being the first radio station in NYC to play Alice’s Restaurant on Thanksgiving or something? This is a real bonehead move.

Move the dial to 104.3 at noon. I think they’re featuring it at the traditional time.
Noon ET would have been 10AM MT where I am. I had a call at 10AM to get together for awhile at Starbucks with a friend. I totally forgot about watching the parade, dagnabbit. Or about turning on the radio for Alice’s Restaurant. I did put it on my MySpace profile, however. For what it’s worth there, which isn’t much, admittedly. But at least I played it for myself.
